THREAT TYPE
Misdirected Email
Misdirected Emails, also known as Accidental Data Loss, occur when an employee unintentionally sends sensitive or confidential information to an unintended recipient.
Misdirected Email
A misdirected email is when the end-user accidentally sends an email to the wrong recipient. This is often the result of clicking a similar email address from the auto-complete menu.
Misattached File
A misattached file is when an email is sent to the correct recipient, but the end-user accidentally attaches the wrong file. This is often the result of clicking a similarly named file from the attach file menu.
AI BASED THREAT DETECTION
Tessian AI Explained
Tessian uses an ensemble of AI based approaches because it's the only way to defend against advanced phishing attacks, and protect against sensitive data loss on email. Through behavioral, content and threat network analysis, Tessian AI automatically adjusts as our customers hire, acquire, and adapt.
Behavioral Detection
Detects Anomalous Recipient
Based on email communication history, this sender does not often communicate with this specific recipient, the recipients as a whole are not often seen together, and there is a similarly named contact in the senders network that is more likely to be included.
Behavioral Detection
Detects Anomalous Content
The sensitive project information detected in both the body and attachment of the email are historically never seen with this specific recipient.
Behavioral Detection
Detects Anomalous Attachment
The attachment looks unusual for this recipient based on the title and email communication history.
“Tessian stops email threats, including Phishing, Business Email Compromise and attacks which could lead to Ransomware or Credential theft on a daily basis. Without Tessian, these threats would've reached our end users.”
Simple stack that deploys in minutes
